Up for Auction and Bidding we have this Original Vintage Brass "Registered U.S. Mail" Postal Lock. The Lock is still open but there is no key. On the back there is the number: R73235. This is a very nice U. S. Mail Lock. On the front it says United States Mail Lock, Pat'd Jan. 20, 1891. The arm is marked 1902. The lock is open and will not close. I don't know who the maker is. It is iron with brass rivets. No key. - eBay (3 Feb 09)

U.S. Postal Mail Lock in Brass, vintage, heavy, clean

Up for bid is an original U.S. Postal Mail Lock, in very heavy brass, not sure of the age

UP FOR AUCTION IS A LIKE NEW U.S. POSTAL LETTER BOX PUSH KEY PADLOCK. THIS ITEM HAS THE CHAIN THAT WAS USED TO FASTEN THE LOCK TO THE LETTER BOX. THE KEY THAT COMES WITH THE LOCK DOES OPEN THE LOCK. THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL KEY, BUT IT WILL WORK UNTIL YOU FIND THE RIGHT ONE. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES TO SEE WHAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON. Vintage Brass US Street Letter Box Pushkey Lock & Key

This is a brass pushkey padlocks and one locksmith made key. The locks is marked "STREET LETTER BOX LOCK" in a circle, and in the middle "UNITED STATES MV". It measures 2-7/8 inches tall by 2 inches wide by 7/16 inches thick when closed. The lock is in excellent condition, and appears to have never been used. - eBay (12 Feb 09)

1889 United States Mail Lock Padlock

Up for auction is an old padlock that says

"United States Mail Lock Pat.Jan 20 '89 "

It is 2 5/8" in length and 2.00" in diameter. It does have some rust which I was told can come off with some Renolds Wrap. I do not have the key sorry !!! - eBay (31 Jan 09)
