OLD BRASS 1882 "AMES SWORD" PADLOCK W/ KEY. "S.P. CO."

This is an interesting lock made by a company whose locks are well sought after.

Lock is in very good condition. The shackle springs right open when the key is operated. About 3 1/4" tall and 2 1/4" wide. The lock is brass and the key is steel. AMES SWORD CO. CHICOPEE, MASS. U.S.A. PAT. SEPT. I9, 1882 is stamped on the back of the shackle and S.P. CO. is on the front. This would make a very nice addition to your collection. - eBay (10 Jan 09)
