Fabrique National FN Magnetic Handcuffs

Always an interesting set of handcuffs, although the cuffs theselves look like they would nicely cut into the wrists being so thin.

Up for auction is an extremely nice pair of FN Herstal Magnetic 1970's handcuffs along with orig key.

They are marked in various places modele depose, fn herstal

These started out as a great idea, a magnetic key! flopped when police found out any strong magnet could open them up.

Production was discontinued very early.
This set is original and complete and in excellent condition - eBay (13 March 09)

This set of handcuffs had a high bid of $306.67 (Plus $9.95 Shipping) but failed to meet the reserve price. This was the second attempt to sell. The first attempt reached a high bid of $167.50 here.

Looks like someone got a good deal. Notice that the keys are different in the two pictures. I wonder if that effected the price. Every other key I have seen was red.
