"MEDIEVAL TORTURE NECKCUFFS"

I have to say that I am pretty suspicious of the authenticity of this neck collar. I see signs of it being authentic and other signs that make me wonder. I say this acknoledging that I am no expert on authentic items from the period. The selling price tells me that there are those who know for sure what this is and that it is authentic.

FINLAND dungeon slave NECK COLLAR

This is a cool collar. Actually, a very cool collar. It was listed at least once before for I think $1,750. The opening price was now dropped $500 but still appears to be too high.

NECK COLLAR HANDCUFFS

This is a very interesting idea made a little safer by limiting the ability for the cuff to close to the point of choking around the neck. Still, it looks like the metal swing arm could be a little more thick and the edges could be rounded a bit. Maybe the final version takes these issues into account.

Still, there is the need to observe anyone wearing such an item to ensure against accidental death.

Now here is something you have never ever seen before! The writer overheard someone in the gym talking about milling machines and after a brief conversation the new design was conceived!

This highly experienced team of engineers have developed this brilliant new item for us. You are looking at the prototype of a steel neck collar (a patent is pending). For a long time we have felt that law enforcement agencies need a modern neck collar to ensure complete control of their prisoners.

This collar is heavy! Just on its own it weighs nearly 2 kilos, yes 2 kilos, thats 4 pounds, 5.4 oz! We have spent a lot of time developing this product and we decided to drop a double locking option for a special stop which restricts how far the restraint can be closed. At the tightest setting the circumference is 21 inches (54 cms) so unless your prisoner is one of those people who have to be removed from his/her room with a special crane, it will fit!

We have not actually taken delivery of the new batch yet so please bare with us if we take a bit of time to deliver, however we do not anticipate an enormous delay, if any at all, indeed this sentence might be edited out before the end of the sale. Also, please bare in mind that the pictures are of the prototype which was not plated. The official item will be zinc plated to a very high standard, you will not be disappointed!

If you are a collector you will realise that this item is unique. - eBay

This item sold on eBay for 140.99 British Pounds / $214.64 (Plus 21 Pounds shipping).

Stainless Steel Round Key Collar - Restraint Prototype

Another nice prototype collar.

Stainless Steel Round Key Collar - Restraint

This is a serious, rigid three hinge, 1 & 3/4 inch tall locking collar! The tightest locking hole is about 14 inches around and the threaded holes are about 1/2 inches apart, so the range is up to about 14 and 1/2 inches in circumference unless you are willing to lose the leash ring then you could use the last hole for a maximum of 14 & 3/4 inches around.

The lock is really special! A round screw lock that fits to the straight edge of the collar end. It threads in with the key into one of the threaded holes. There is no way to back the lock out if you don't have the key. Almost impossible to pick and the high strength stainless steel metal is very hard to cut, especially if there is little room between the collar and neck to fit a tool, and don't even think about cutting torches...

Created by a world class restraint artist located in Australia. Those in the know may know his work. For everyone else just know that this guy really knows his art. This design is based on an antique pattern developed in the 1800's for wrist and ankle restraints. He expanded the idea for modern materials and laser cutting machines and came up with a prototype collar.

This is a truly one of a kind item. Depending on how this auction does it might be the only one ever made. If the auction does well we will commission more of these for our web store on our web sight. If the bids are low, well we hope you value the very rare collectable you will end up with on this true, no reserve auction! - eBay (17 Aug 2009)

This custom collar had a high bid of $58.89 (Plus Free Shipping).

Stainless Steel Hasp Collar Restraint - Rare Prototype

This is very industrial and intimidating-looking. Nice construction.

Stainless Steel Hasp Collar - Restraints

This is a serious, rigid three hinge, 1 & 3/4 inch tall locking collar! The tightest slot is about 15 inches around and the slots are about 1/2 inches apart, so the range is up to about 15 and 3/4 inches in circumference.

Battlestar Galactica Props Shackle and Neck Restraint Parts

I am a fan of the show and some of the restraints they had did look very cool, at least on the TV.

Production Description: Extra parts for the Cylon shackles and neck restraints used to restrain the human looking Cylons aboard the Galactica. Pieces are larger to fit male Cylons.

Technical Description: Parts include chrome steel binders with foam liners attached to segmented aluminum connecters. Custom CNC machined aluminum neck restraint with braided steel connector.

Please note that everything we sell is a movie prop or costume and thus is distressed, worn and generally NOT BRAND NEW. We do not describe every dent, scratch and rip because these are movie props and that is the way they come. Please understand that nothing we sell will arrive in mint condition and may have defects that are not listed.

Propworx is the official provider for Universal Studios "Battlestar Galactica" auctions. We are a group of dedicated professionals and collectors who want to provide the best experience possible.

Every item is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity personally signed by Alec Peters, CEO of Propworx and Kurt Ford of NBC/Universal. Each certificate is tied to the particular item by a tamper-proof, individually numbered BSG hologram. The hologram is in two parts, one of which is attached to the prop, the other which is attached to the COA, so the two items can never be sold separately. Fabric items, such as costumes, have the hologram attached to a specially designed tag which the hologram is attached to. - eBay (12 July 09)

This set of restraints had a high bid of $202.50 (Plus $20 Shipping).

Palmer Neck Collar

Palmer restraints are probably the most dungeon-like that I have seen around. Here is what is being presented as a Palmer neck collar:

Unfortunately, they don't build them like this anymore!
