Bean Cobb handcuffs by Harrington & Richardson

Hi All. Up for bid is a set of Bean Cobb handcuffs by Harrington & Richardson. These cuffs are the plated version but the I was told by a collector that they appear to have been rusted and then cleaned. The handcuffs are marked “PAT MAY 2 1899” and are marked with the number “58250 and 58260” on the hinges. The set comes with one key. The key unlocks the set and the triggers lock them. One nice extra is that part of the original box that the handcuffs came in “describing the cuffs” will be included. This is a very nice set in great condition so get them while you can. If you have any questions, please ask. - eBay (25 Jan 09)

This set of handcuffs sold for $130 (Plus $8 Shipping).

EARLY HANDCUFFS WITH WORKING KEY PATENT DATE MAY 2 1899

Early handcuffs, with working key, they work great. the only markings are, patent date, May 2 1899, And the hinges are marked with the numbers 59763 and 59773, they are in very good shape and very good working condition - eBay (4 Feb 09)

This set of handcuffs had a 'Buy-it-Now' price of $195 (Plus $13.50 Shipping) and an opening bid of $49.99 but failed to attract any bids.

It was listed once before (31 Jan 09) and got one bid (Mine) but did not sell as there was a reserve price and I had nobody to bid against so my price was stuck at the opening bid of $99. Guess I didn't bid above the reserve price. The 'Buy-it-Now' price this first time around was $225. (Link)

Anyone owning and wishing to sell a nice pair of vintage or antique handcuffs w/keys (factory/brand name), please contact me. I'm especially interested in those made by Bean Cobb, Towers or anything similar or unique, or unusual in appearance or function. Of course, they must be in good cosmetic and functional condition. I'm a collector and not a dealer, so please be kind! egabler805@gmail.com
