Small Brass padlock Lock w/key S&E mfg 1878

Here is a neat old padlock that uses a flat key and looks a little like the commen mail locks.

This is an old lock with working key. it says S&E mfg. co. Pat. aug. 27, 1878. This works fine. it is 1 and 3/8 inches across. - eBay

This lock sold for the respectful sum of $152.51 (Plus $2.02 shipping).
