Here is a nice padlock that I have never seen before.
This padlock had a high bid of $234.39 (Plus $8 Shipping). This auction is for what I am told , is a very rare and old brass pad lock. The person who sold it to me said it was used on newly built homes in Levittown long Island, built after WWII. That's what those who saw it said. I don't know for sure...maybe some one out there does. Anyway, this is being offered as is with no key. It is open, and if you play with it, it will close and lock, and re open after you push on it a few times in weird combination's of pushes! Apparently it was used on the development as a very early form of a realtors lock box.SO........ here it is.....Pay Pal.....GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-----------------------------------------------------------------------On Jan-30-12 at 07:19:55 PST, seller added the following information:
A fellow Ebayer has informed me that this padlock may actually be much older, around 1920. He also said it was made for the St. Louis hardware company Norvell-Shapleigh. He said it is really a RARE ONE in this great condition! Hope this helps....if true. - eBay (7 Feb 2012)
