I have to say that I am pretty suspicious of the authenticity of this neck collar. I see signs of it being authentic and other signs that make me wonder. I say this acknoledging that I am no expert on authentic items from the period. The selling price tells me that there are those who know for sure what this is and that it is authentic.

If it weren't for the spikes, I would love to stay locked in this collar and not have access to they key. Actualy, a leather or synthetic lining would take care of the spikes.
(yes, I have goth tendancies and I am a little bit into bondage :)
