Unusual "Bull Ring" Brass Padlock

This is a very interesting looking padlock.

Interesting curiosity of a lock with unusual shackle opening as shown. When the key has a quarter turn, the shackle may be swivelled by hand to any open position. It will snap shut when pressed back into the lock. Works smoothly/well.

Probably c.1930s and may have been used for pre-payment meter lock, ie. is ".... E. S. Co" ".... Electricity Supply Co"? Key cannot be removed until locked; so if the key is removed it is locked! Other locks of this type I've seen are normally made in steel, not brass. Size: 2.9" (7.5cm) long x 2" (5.2cm) max. width.

Antique Iron Locking Slave Shackles 1800’s

~From the Crow Estate in Selma Alabama~

You are bidding on a Set of Working Antique Iron Slave Shackles or Leg Irons from the 1800’s.

These were blacksmith made and come with the Original Key. These came from the Crow Estate in Selma Alabama. Mr. Crow was a Slave Catcher and used these restraints in the performance of his trade.

They feature a twisted, hand wrought chain and two working adult size cuffs. The set measures nearly 30” long from end to end. The unfinished iron has a brown patina to it now.

Hard to find in working condition with the original key, pieces of Americana such as this is desirable to collect now days. It will fit nicely in many different types of collections from Civil War, Black Americana, Slave Trade and even the Blacksmiths Craft.

MINIATURE VICTORIAN THREEPENCE COIN PADLOCK CHARM

A very neat working padloack made from two coins. This is a very small padlock. It could even be used as an earring.

This is for a tiny tiny little miniature hand made Victorian padlock and key from the late 1800s. The lock is the front and back of a silver threepence coin and the key works but is fiddly. It is in excellent condition and measures only 16mm in diameter. FERRET Seal Padlock

Here is another very interesting Seal Padlock:

Beautiful old French seal lock, brass case and steel shackle in very good condition. 3 in wide x 4 1/2 in high x 9/16 in thick. Works well with brass key. Paper seal mechanism works by a protrustion of the pins into the paper seal when the shackle is pulled up. A most unusual and nice padlock. - eBay (30 June 09)

Battlestar Galactica Props Shackle and Neck Restraint Parts

I am a fan of the show and some of the restraints they had did look very cool, at least on the TV.

Production Description: Extra parts for the Cylon shackles and neck restraints used to restrain the human looking Cylons aboard the Galactica. Pieces are larger to fit male Cylons.

Technical Description: Parts include chrome steel binders with foam liners attached to segmented aluminum connecters. Custom CNC machined aluminum neck restraint with braided steel connector.

Battlestar Galactica "Cylon Handcuffs" HERO

Another set of Battlestar Gallactica handcuffs went up for auction recently:

Production Description: One set of Cylon cuffs worn by Sharon in Season 2's ''Home Part 2.'' In this episode Sharon is part of the group led by the President, hoping to find the Tomb of Athena, a place on Kobol which can lead them on their path to Earth. These cuffs were marked by production as a hero item.

Technical Description: Set of six metal handcuffs on a metal bar. Production made item is heavily weathered. Handcuffs do not need a key, as they come apart when pulled. Measures about 10'' long. - eBay (31 May 09)
