Combination Letter Padlock

Very cool, Very large and clearly rare. When unlocked the long bar gets passed through a couple rings on whatever is getting locked. Maybe on a truck or perhaps securing a door closed. The rings needed to be close enough so that they fit within the right side of this lock.

Outstanding latch and combination lock made of iron and brass. Origin Italy. 19th century period. Number of wheels 7 with 22 letters for each roller. In excellent condition. US Treasury Lock - Heavy Brass Clarke Combo Padlock

One of my favorite styles of combination padlocks. Rare and yet still affordable for those willing to save for a while. This one for some reason was a little more expensive than average. Perhaps it is indicative of increased demand.

This beautiful brass government seal lock was made for use by the U.S. Treasury Dept., by Clarke Combination Lock Co. in Baltimore, MD. Original pat. date of 1873 and reissued in Feb. of 1876. Over 138 years ago! It is in wonderful condition for its age and works great. There are some older small tool marks on the back plate, which closes tight and still has the retaining spring clip behind it. Some newer tool marks on the knurled turn ring and the loss of some chrome. Beautiful patina and a smooth working, great feeling lock. Very collectible! - eBay (24 Oct 2014)

This is another clock face padlock that I have not seen before.

An interesting clock face combination padlock made of brass, steel shackle, with known opening combination.

Very good condition.

Though not marked or signed, considering the style of the ‘dial’ and of the brass hands,- very close to the USA patented Ideal comb.padlock -, we do think this is a USA made item, manufactured c.1900-1930.

Taylor Combination Padlock

This is an Antique Taylor Mfg. Co. Dial Combination Brass Padlock. I have shown this padlock from every angle to give you a good idea of the condition. This lock has obviously been taken apart. I believe that it is complete and functional, though. I do not have the combination. I can feel all three wheels with a pin tool thru the drain hole in the bottom of the case. This lock can be restored, though it is beyond my ability. I do not have the combination. I guarantee that this lock is functional and will operate as it should once you establish the combination. Katz Combination Lock with Box, Tag and Instructions

This is a pretty cool padlock. Seems that the last one I saw was in 2009 (Here).

Made by National Mfg & Lock Co. With the original box, combination tag and instructions. To open the lock use the instructions on the instruction sheet with the numbers on the tag, not the numbers on the sheet. It took me a couple of tries but as you can see in the photos, I was able to open the lock. The box is complete but not in great shape - it is loose and tape was used on some corners. A: I found this little gem at an estate sell of a home in my area. Unfortunately, I have no information on it other than I know it is old and an original piece. I have seen similar locks like this on eBay in the past, but this is the first one that I have ever found myself. Sorry not to have any further information.
