Lock and key are not marked DENY but this is definitely a DENY lock.
DENY made some utility locks for the French government.
Look at the key, the lock is hard to pick open! Easy to cut the exposed brass shackle though... Another French paradox.
Interesting brass lock, works perfectly, very good condition.

Antique Rare John Chinaman Padlock Key Trenton 1800s
This listing is for an extremely rare, antique padlock from Trenton Lock & Hardware Company. Patented in 1878, this humorously designed No. 1785 padlock is called "John Chinaman" and as the period's racially insensitive legend has it, a Chinese fellow was attempting to steal a flask of whiskey through a window. On his way out, he was caught by a guard dog, and the hand of the flask's owner is reclaiming his booze. A similar padlock recently sold for $4,000 at an auction in Maine. This lock and key work perfectly, and just need a good cleaning (it's over 130 years old, after all).

This set of handcuffs sold for $125 (Plus $10.95 Shipping).I designed and constructed this set of handcuffs to be used for movie/photo props, although they are quite real and functional. All steel construction. The cuffs are set at an angle for a more comfortable fit. (Put your hands on the desk in front of you - notice that they naturally rest at an angle - not straight out and parallel). Thanks to planar linkage movement both sides open and close simultaneously. The interior diameter of each cuff when closed is about 2 1/2". The overall length is 11" with a weight of over 3 1/2 pounds. Cuff is held in the closed position by use of a single padlock (pictured and included) The Master brand lock comes with one key. Up for auction is a set of H&R Super Leg Irons and Handcuffs. Both sets of Leg Irons and Handcuffs are in unused new condition. They retain 100% of their original bright nickel plating, 2 original keys, and one original box for the handcuffs. The leg iron chains are un-scuffed or scratched, which would indicate that they were never used.

This set of handcuffs and leg irons has a 'Buy-it-Now' price of $2,000 (Plus $15 Shipping) but failed to attract any bids. Not that there is a lack of interest. I am sure that there is no shortage of people who would love to add this pair of leg irons to their collection. It's just that there were not willing to pay that much. It would probably make more sense now to sell each item on it's own.
