RUXTONS LATE PATENT - Padlock

I spotted this auction early on but knew that the final bid was going to be high just by looking at the lock:

Up for bid we have a used VINTAGE BRASS LOCK W/KEY(RUXTONS LATE PATENT). I tryed looking this up ,but i found nothing. The lock has been used ,but it is in excellent condition for how old the lock is. - eBay (5 April 09)

This padlock sold for $261 (Plus $5.95 Shipping).
