Brass Good Luck Horseshoe PadLock

Horseshoe padlocks are pretty neat. I do have a couple of them. This one however appears to be in very good condition.

You are bidding on a neat solid brass lock padlock with working key shaped like a horseshoe with Good Luck printed on both sides. The key to the lock has a horseshoe on it as well and shown. The lock measures 2 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches tall. The lock measures about a 1/2 inch thick. Very neat little good luck lock. TINY Horseshoe Dog Collar Padlock

This is neat that he had a collection of different sizes.

Here is a neat miniature antique dog collar padlock. It measures a mere 3/4 inch long, 9/16 across, and 1/8 inch thick. It is a working padlock, though takes no key. The trick to opening is slide the key post sideways and pull the shackle. It is a very rare and hard to find miniature padlock likely dating to the late 19th century. The last two photos showing three locks are to show you the others currently listed in seperate auctions. This auction is only for the tiny 3/4 inch horseshoe trick lock. Horseshoe Dog Collar Padlock

Here is one of the smaller versions of the horseshoe padlock.

Here is a neat miniature antique dog collar padlock. It measures 13/8 inch long, 1 1/32 across, and 3/16 inch thick. It is a working padlock, and comes with the original key. It is a very rare and hard to find miniature padlock dating to the late 19th century. Though the hasp is damaged it is in perfect working condition. The hasp has BARNES MFG CO, and PAT JUN- -- 79 (JUNE 1879) stamped into it. This was made by the BARNES MFG CO and was patented in 1879. Miniature Horseshoe Dog Collar Padlock

I was really surprised to come across this small horseshoe padlock because I was aware of the large one and the smaller one (which is the largest one on the photo below). And interestingly enough, there is an even smaller one.

Here is a nice look inside a horseshoe-shaped padlock.

This SLAYMAKER LOCK MFG CO " THE NEW CENTURY" lock is a very nice lock but in dire need of repair. Very collectible with the original key that came with it. Do not know if all the inner pieces are there but I am sure a locksmith could repair it. It is a little beaten up, but this lock is very hard to find. - eBay (26 Dec 2009)

For auction is this working Antique Brass BELLAMYS GOOD LUCK Padlock & Key. It has a Pat. Date of June 24, 1879. It just reads 79, but this would have to mean 1879 I think. I purchased this lock and many more in a box full of keys. I'm not sure if the key included with this lock it the right one, but it does open and lock the padlock (see photos). Brass "The New Century" Horseshoe shaped lock

This beautiful little antique brass lock is, I believe, an earlier bicycle lock. No key (sorry!) and only visible damage is the little round part at the top of the key slot is split - so you could still get a key in, if you had one, and the piece swivels as it should, but I wanted you to know.

Great condition otherwise, and should polish wonderfully should you desire to do so - it is in "as found" vintage condition. Sold with NO RESERVE. - eBay

This Brass "GOOD LUCK" lock is in nice condition. (there are a few small dings on one side). The key and mechanism work very well, and the shackle is nice and tight. The key is not original. This auction is for some kind of old lock I guess that it what it is. It says good luck on both sides and on one side up at the top it has a 3 and a 7 and it has rust on it. I don't know what kind of metal it is but a magnet does not stick to it. - eBay
