Up for auction is an extremely nice pair of 1880's Hiatt fig 8 handcuffs along with orig key.They are marked in various places with: HIATT and 8, key is also marked 8
I am used to seeing a 3, but this one is marked 8Item retains approx 98% of its original nickle plating and is in overall excellent condition and works perfectly.
I have tried to show the item in the photos and apologize for the quality of them. - eBay

Eights are almost as restrictive as chalet cuffs, which are basically one half of an eight restraint with a divider. Very uncomfortable, particularly when applied behind the back.
are these still for sale?
