Small padlock, crazy price!

Here is a great miniature MOON padlock! It is made of cast iron. The lock was made by the US Lock Co and is circa 1860 -1880. This is the finest moon lock I have ever come across and it still retains a lot of it's original nickel plating. It comes with a working key. The size is 1 inch across, 1 1/2 inch tall, by 5/16 inch thick.

Can anyone provide more information on this padlock? Why is it worth so much? Are others of the same type (with planet names) worth as much as well?
