Pat'd 1844 Colton's Solid Brass Lock

A very nice rare padlock from the 1800's.

Original large Colton's Padlock and Key, patented 1844. The Lock measures 4 1/2" h x 3" w and 1" thick, heavy and solid brass. The key is also solid brass and has a heart shaped opening, measuring 2 3/8" length. The lock and key actually work, padlock locks and unlocks.
