Antique~Brass Combination Padlock w/ 5-Tumbler Wheels
Up for your consideration is a beautiful 1869 brass combination padlock. It was made by Horace L. Arnold and the patent issue date is May 4th 1869. The US patent # is 89,826. The current U.S. Class is 70/28 and the International Class is E05B 37/02(20060101)-E05B 37/00(20060101). The lock measures 2 1/4'' high x 2 1/2'' wide. I am sorry to say I do not know the combination for this lock. - eBay (28 April 09)
This padlock sold with a 'Buy-it-Now' option for $310 (Plus Free Shipping). In 14 page views not only was the padlock sold, but it had also received two offers. Interstingly enough, it sold within $20 of a similar Arnold padlock covered here.
