Vintage H&R Arms Leg Irons

Too bad the chain is broken. Otherwise they appear to be in good condition:

This is an old set of what appears to be leg irons (from the size of the opening which is 3-1/4 inches inside diameter), they are marked H&R Arms Co., Worcester Mass. and one is also stamped made in USA -- this would be the Harrington and Richardson firearms company that made pistols, revolvers, rifles and shotguns and which is now I understand owned by Marlin and located in Gardner Mass.

The chain apparently has been separated in the middle and re-attached with a heavy piece of wire link.

I have no key, and these are sold as is. Would make a nice "go-with" display item for the H&R firearms collector or the Worcester MA historian. - eBay (26 Feb 09)
